If you don’t already have a sleep schedule established now is the perfect time to to set one up. With the fall change in Daylight Saving Time your body is already used to waking up and going to bed an hour earlier than it says on the clock.
Set your alarm for the morning (without snoozes) and be in bed 8 hours before that time. Try to avoid some of the pitfalls you may have established in your routine like:
- Staying up later because you don’t feel tired enough to fall asleep
- Eating late in the evening
- Scrolling through social media sites while lying in bed
- Drinking caffeine and/or alcohol close to bedtime
You’ll find that a good night sleep can set yourself up for a productive day.
