Do you ever spend more time trying to talk yourself into doing something than it would take just to do the thing?
Every morning the first thing I do when I get out of bed is a short calisthenics / cardio routine which limbers me up and gets the blood moving. But the last thing I do before I get out of bed is try to talk myself out of doing it.
Once I start I’m fine but at 5:00 am I really don’t even want to get out of bed so the thought of being active is not very appealing. But then I remind myself that I’m going to do it anyway so I should stop bitching and procrastinating and just go do it.
